In 2026, Southern Cross Soloists fill the QPAC Concert Hall with radiant light and beauty. In Hush, “one of the world’s top classical guitarists” Karin Schaupp collaborates on a program that moves from dazzling light to calming night. In Carnival of the Animals, natural life bursts forth – feathered, furred and fossilised. In sacred and profane, intimate solos by Bach are interlaced with graceful circus motions, transforming both genres. Grammy-winning flautist Tim Munro is the ensemble’s 2026 Artistic Director. Brisbane-born Munro has toured the world as a soloist and chamber musician, and his musicianship is described by The New York Times as “captivating”, “bravura” and “charismatic”.
