Brisbane-based bespoke real estate agents, Calibre Real Estate, who recently joined the QPAC family as a Supporting Partner, point to a shared passion for stories and connection that motivated them to pursue an arts partnership.
Calibre Founder and Principal Alice Hagen says, “We’ve always believed that a home is more than just where we live - it’s a space where stories unfold, creativity grows, and people connect. That’s why the arts feel like such a natural fit for us.”
The company likes to bring a sense of creativity and community to all that they do whether it’s through staging and presenting homes, guiding their clients through their property journey, supporting local schools and sporting clubs, or now partnering with QPAC.
“The arts are part of what makes a community feel alive - and that’s exactly what we’re all about,” says Alice (pictured with fellow Founder and Director Justin Hagen).
“For us, this partnership is about heart, not just business. Justin and I, along with our team, have the opportunity to support something that genuinely matters, and it gives us a chance to show our core values in action (Care, Community, and being Courageously Innovative).
“It’s also incredibly energising to be around creative people - it reminds us to think differently and stay inspired. Being partnered with QPAC opens the door for us to be part of the cultural conversation in Brisbane, and that’s something we’re really proud of.”
The company certainly shares QPAC’s belief in the power of arts and culture to bring people together. Connecting people is what drives everything at QPAC, from the way we program our theatres, to the open Melbourne St Green that invites patrons and passers-by to come in, to our Digital Stage that seeks to make the arts accessible to those who may not be able to visit QPAC in person. It matters to us that we partner with companies that share the conviction that the arts significantly add to community.
“Whether it’s a powerful performance, a thought-provoking Q&A, or simply the joy of shared laughter, entertainment plays a vital role in helping us connect,” agrees Alice.
“In a world that can often feel noisy and disconnected, these experiences help us pause, feel, and better understand one another. Supporting the arts is, to us, just another way of showing up for our community.
“We love the idea that this partnership with QPAC might help future artists and audiences find their space and their voices. If something we do helps spark inspiration in any future inspiring artist, or helps someone feel seen or moved, then that’s incredibly rewarding. We’re excited to play even a small role in helping keep the arts thriving for the next generation - and for all the stories still to be told."
