Before they take to the stage as The Fabulous Caprettos, music giants Daryl Braithwaite, Russell Morris, Jack Jones (Southern Sons) and Rai Thistlewayte (Thirsty Merc) crafted a playlist of their iconic Aussie anthems.
We asked Russell Morris to give us an insight into his favourite song on the playlist to perform, as well as those he's most excited to hear from Daryl, Jack and Rai.
Sit back, press play and relive some of Australia’s most memorable rock music.
Russell Morris – "Wings of an Eagle"
For myself, it would be 'Wings of an Eagle'. This was one of those songs that seemed to come to me spontaneously, as if from somewhere else.
Southern Sons – "Hold Me In Your Arms"
I love listening to Jack sing ‘Hold Me in Your Arms’. It’s a special moment in the show where he showcases his talent as a singer and guitarist.
Daryl Braithwaite – "As The Days Go By"
This has always been one of my favourite songs. I've had the honour of hearing Daryl perform it a few times and he always sings it awesomely.
Thirsty Merc – "In The Summertime"
A powerful track from a powerful performer. Rai is a superb musician, songwriter and guitar player.
