Acknowledgement of Traditional Custodians

We pay our respects to the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander ancestors of this land, their spirits and their legacy. The foundations laid by these ancestors give strength, inspiration and courage to current and future generations, both First Nations and non-First Nations peoples, towards creating a better Queensland.

Opera Queensland

Opera Queensland invites you to experience a season of fairytales and wonder.

The joyful and humorous La Cenerentola (Cinderella) makes a spectacular return, after rave reviews in 2025. Hailed as “enchanting” (Limelight) and “a truly magical experience” (Stage Whispers), Rossini’s comic masterpiece, delights audiences for two nights only.

Brisbane Bel Canto Festival returns to celebrate the art of beautiful singing with a series of concerts and performances, including the remarkable Petite Messe Solennelle in the Concert Hall.

Opera on the grandest scale arrives with Rusalka, Opera Queensland’s first production in the new Glasshouse Theatre. Inspired by Hans Christian Andersen’s The Little Mermaid, Rusalka is a shimmering tale of love and transformation.

Making the perfect Christmas present for your loved ones, Stephen Sondheim and James Lapine’s Tony Award‑winning musical Into the Woods closes our 2026 season with a bold new production directed by Patrick Nolan in the Glasshouse Theatre.
