Acknowledgement of Traditional Custodians

We pay our respects to the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander ancestors of this land, their spirits and their legacy. The foundations laid by these ancestors give strength, inspiration and courage to current and future generations, both First Nations and non-First Nations peoples, towards creating a better Queensland.

Ensemble Q 2025

Ensemble Q

Ensemble Q is a large chamber ensemble of the most revered musicians in Australia and have been captivating audiences since 2017.

As 2024 National Touring Artists for Musica Viva, regular artists for ABC Classic and featured ensemble at festivals including the Queensland Music Festival and the Australian Festival of Chamber Music, they have earned a reputation as one of the most respected and exciting ensembles in Australia. They are known for their quirky marketing, trendsetting appeal, and their ability to stand out on a crowded stage and grab the attention of discerning audiences with their consistently world class performance standard and brilliant programming. With a sleeve full of five-star reviews, Ensemble Q is an ambassador for Australian music and the future of chamber music in this country.

In 2025, Ensemble Q is set to thrill QPAC audiences with a new and exciting Monday night metropolitan series. An incredible array of music awaits in the intimacy of reverse mode, from the atmospheric Black Angels by George Crumb to the exquisite Grand Septet by Franz Berwald.

Ensemble Q will partner with the Queensland Art Song Festival to bring Queensland an important Australian Premiere, Jörg Widmann’s extraordinary realisation of Schumann’s Dichterliebe, delivered by the baritone that all of Europe is talking about, Benjamin Appl.
