Overview

Delve into QPAC’s archives with this exclusive recording of The Red Tree.

Performed in 2004 as part of QPAC’s Out of the Box Festival, The Red Tree is based on the celebrated book of the same name by Shaun Tan. This masterpiece of puppetry and visual theatre will take you on an extraordinary and deeply moving journey as a young child conquers her fears and embraces hope. Featuring Shaun Tan’s stunning illustrations that provoke powerful emotions, The Red Tree is sure to transport you to a dreamlike world.

The Red Tree is an innovative theatre piece for children and represents QPAC’s long-standing history of producing high quality theatre experiences for young people. Originally created in 2004 for the Out of the Box Festival, The Red Tree was part of a program that encouraged learning, play, curiosity and discovery for children and their families. Now available to stream free on Digital Stage, The Red Tree continues to encourage lifelong learning for children and their families.
