Overview
Some days are so windy that even the angels lose their balance... It’s always a day like this when the “flying orchestra” blows into town.
The Flying Orchestra cleverly explores the abstract concept of music for young children, suggesting that music is all around us, telling the story of our lives. This much-loved book by Clare McFadden has been recreated for stage with great heart. This work encourages both children and adults to think outside the box.
In 2012 this production had its world premiere as part of QPAC’s Out of the Box, a leading provider of arts experiences for children aged 8 and under. The Flying Orchestra was commissioned by QPAC for the festival.
