Overview

Step into the world of Swan Lake like you’ve never seen it before – masterfully reimagined and streaming free on Digital Stage, made possible by QPAC from 6pm, Friday 13 June to 6pm, Sunday 15 June!

Ballet Preljocaj, France’s leading contemporary ballet company, brings their bold reinterpretation of this timeless tale of love and betrayal to the screen, following an exclusive live season in Brisbane. Featuring dramatic choreography, striking stage design, and Tchaikovsky’s iconic score performed by the Queensland Symphony Orchestra under the baton of Johannes Fritzsch, this modern-day tragedy is set to captivate and move you.

Filmed at the Queensland Performing Arts Centre as part of the 2025 QPAC International Series, this Australian premiere marks Ballet Preljocaj’s long-awaited return to Queensland, nearly a decade after their last sold-out appearance.

Presented as part of QPAC’s 40th Anniversary celebrations, this digital event invites audiences across Queensland to witness a landmark moment in contemporary ballet.
