Overview

It’s legendary and it’s live. After smashing countless countries and slaying endless audiences, The Umbilicals’ most beloved show is back. The Sydney Morning Herald described it as “Marcel Marceau on really good drugs”.

The Umbilical Brothers are an international comedy phenomenon who have so far won a couple of BAFTAs, an Emmy, the Critics’ Choice at Edinburgh Fringe and the Helpmann Award for Best Comedy Performers. They’ve performed in over 40 countries with six different shows. And now they’re returning home with one of their most celebrated creations, Speedmouse.

Full of the stuff you love, Speedmouse is a live action, fast paced, rewind, slow motion, frame-by-frame adventure where two men create the impossible out of a microphone and unique physical abilities that have no equal. A true classic of Australian comedy, Speedmouse earned a bevy of five-star reviews and numerous awards, provided the inspiration for their acclaimed series The Upside Down Show, and spawned a multi-platinum DVD that was watched in every corner of the world. As a result, there are now multi-platinum drink coasters with pictures of The Umbilicals on them in every corner of the world.

Watching Speedmouse on screen has been a rite of passage for Australian comedians and comedy fans alike. But if you haven’t seen this show live, it’s time to take it to the next level. And across two levels. Join Dave, Shane and their mysterious Roadie in celebrating the return of Speedmouse with a limited live theatrical run. It will make you laugh, and smile, and wonder how they get away with doing this for a living.
