Overview

Flamenco today captivates audiences across the globe, many of whom know little of its traditions yet instantly connect with its themes of oppression, anguish, passion, and joy. With maestros such as Paco Peña performing in the world’s greatest theatres and opera houses, it is no wonder this art form continues to inspire awe and admiration.

Bringing to life the intoxicating rhythms, colours, and sounds of Andalucía, Paco Peña and his ensemble of gifted dancers, singers, and musicians ignite the stage with bursts of improvisation, fiery passion, and breathtaking virtuosity.

The concert begins with Paco Peña’s spellbinding solo guitar performance – always a highlight for audiences – before the full company joins him in the second half for an unforgettable flamenco experience.

  • Although the roots of flamenco are deeply embedded in the soil and culture of Andalucía, in southern Spain, it speaks to emotions that are universal and timeless. Whether it is the lone voice of the singer, the passion of the dancer, or the unique textures of the guitar, flamenco finds mysterious pathways into the hearts of audiences all over the world.
