Acknowledgement of Traditional Custodians

We pay our respects to the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander ancestors of this land, their spirits and their legacy. The foundations laid by these ancestors give strength, inspiration and courage to current and future generations, both First Nations and non-First Nations peoples, towards creating a better Queensland.

Overview

A drop-in sanctuary where mums and bubs can enjoy tummy time, woven sensory play, and connect with other mamas under the calm guidance of indigenous artists Lia Pa’apa’a (Samoan/Luiseño) and Johannah Maza (Yidinji/Mer/Irish). Translating to “grow in a circle” in Native Luiseño (from Southern California), the Púuna Sanctuary invites mamas to unwind and reflect with each other in a nurturing, supportive environment.

Drop in for free 12:00-3:00pm daily.

Púuna Sanctuary is part of QPAC’s Out of the Box.
