Overview
Celebrating the International Day of the Girl – WOW Schools Day ‘24
WOW Schools Day ‘24, to be held on 25 October is aligned with the UN International Day of The Girl Child, designated in 2012 to highlight and address the many challenges girls face globally, and to promote girls’ empowerment and human rights.
This year Women of the World Australia (WOW) will continue to partner with QPAC to host over 200 high school students in a full day of workshops, performances, and Speed Mentoring on the Wheel of Brisbane with over 100 mentors from a range of diverse fields, highlighting opportunities and inspiring diverse ambitions. A special feature of the program will again be a panel conversation with inspiring young change-makers hosted by Natasha Mitchell – WOW Big Ideas for broadcast by ABC Radio National.

Important Information
Age Recommendation
Recommended for students in grades 10, 11 and 12.
Event Timeline
8:30am to 8:50am – Schools registration in the Cremorne Theatre Foyer.
9am to 10:30am – Welcome panel and performance in the Cremorne Theatre.
10:30am to 3pm – Workshops throughout the day in the Playhouse Lounge and Lyric Lounge for breakout spaces.
Bring your group to the theatre and receive assistance with available seating allocation.
School group bookings available for groups of 5+. 1 teacher free per 5 students. Additional teachers/adults $15.
Admission: $25
Please note, there must be an accompanying adult/teacher from the school, regardless of the group size.
