“Today we had a most marvellous tour of QPAC. Our Tour Guide’s knowledge of behind the scenes was amazing and it gave us all a great insight in to the running of a production and what actually happens behind the scenes. We had the most wonderful one and a half hours with Amanda, our guide. Our most sincere thanks for a truly great morning.” Qantas Flight Hostess Club
Tours are conducted Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday mornings commencing between 9:30 am and 10:30 am to provide better access to the theatres that are available, prior to the evening performances. We try to avoid booking a tour on a Wednesday or Saturday due to the usually heavy load of matinees. Tours are not conducted on a Sunday or Public Holiday.
Our Technical Tour is ideal for Senior Highschool, TAFE or University Students; those with an interest in Tourism and Event Marketing or people looking to start a career within the performing arts. With one of our Production Event Managers, you will walk behind the scenes exploring the inner workings of the theatre. You will examine the lighting, staging and sound that goes into some of the world's biggest shows.
Minimum of 12 people per group or flat rate fee of $215
Adult/Student/Concession tickets $18
“Our Tour Guide was a wealth of knowledge providing answers to all our ‘probing’ questions.” TAFE Queensland South West
“Such an enriching and engaging experience for the students, they thoroughly enjoyed themselves and were so appreciative of Keith taking the time to answer all their questions.” Calamvale Community College
Tours are conducted by appointment and not available on Wednesday, Saturday, Sunday or Public Holidays. All tours are planned according to what is booked in the theatres and backstage. Our scheduling can change and all venues are subject to availability on the day of the tour. Please contact us prior to your chosen tour date should you have any accessibility concerns.
Enhance your tour experience with a light lunch, coffee and cake or special occasion High Tea at QPAC’s delicious cafe.
