About the Artists
Ethan Coleman

Ethan Coleman is a final-year Bachelor of Music student at the Queensland Conservatorium Griffith University, studying jazz piano under Jeff Usher and Steve Newcomb. He has played in various ensembles, including the Conservatorium’s Confusion, and is active in Brisbane's music scene, performing across genres like pop, rock, and jazz. Ethan frequently serves as a session musician, recently recording for Sir Lennon’s debut single ‘FFIL.’ He also teaches music in Pullenvale and plans to travel abroad for further studies, aspiring to pursue a Master of Music. Patrick Baldwin

Jazz Music Institute student and Brisbane Musical Theatre répétiteur, Patrick Baldwin, is an aspiring young jazz and theatre pianist. He performs regularly in musical theatre productions across the greater Brisbane region displaying his prowess as a multifaceted instrumentalist and genuine passion for the art form. To complement your theatre-going experience, Patrick is excited to deliver a variety of musical theatre favourites with a refreshing and relaxing ‘cocktail piano style’ twist tailored to create a perfectly balanced musical end to an unforgettable night out at QPAC.
Will Ellerton

Having recently completed his studies at the Queensland Conservatorium, Will Ellerton is an experienced jazz pianist in the Brisbane and Australian music scenes with regular performances at clubs, bars, and private functions. With influences ranging from Herbie Hancock to the likes of Brad Mehldau and Mulgrew Miller, Will’s passion for jazz and music as an art form can be heard in his expressive and versatile touch. New to QBAR’s Piano bar, Will looks forward to setting an intimate yet lively atmosphere as a captivating continuation of your night at the Performing Arts Centre.
Baxter Birrell

Baxter is an up and coming pianist in the Brisbane jazz scene, taking inspiration from a wide variety of disciplines - from Oscar Peterson, to McCoy Tyner, to even the likes of Sun Ra. A lover of all things musical and abstract, Baxter has long sought to deepen his understanding of the art of improvised music, leading him to his current course of study at the Jazz Music Institute.
William Milne

William Milne is a highly skilled and versatile pianist, renowned for his expressive musicality. With a diverse repertoire that spans classical, contemporary, and original compositions, William brings a refined and dynamic approach to solo piano performance. Having performed in a variety of prestigious venues, his work is marked by its emotive depth, engaging interpretation, and seamless connection with audiences. This performance at the Queensland Performing Arts Centre offers an intimate experience of William's distinctive style, creating a fitting complement to the evening's atmosphere.
