QPAC is proud to welcome Arcare Aged Care as a Major Partner of QPAC and Digital Stage to assist in sharing the joy of the performing arts into homes, classrooms, and aged care facilities.
As a leading provider of residential aged care services, Arcare’s commitment to delivering personalised and compassionate care across 53 residences in Queensland, New South Wales, and Victoria aligns closely with QPAC’s vision of making the arts accessible to all.
Through this partnership, Arcare will assist QPAC expand access to the arts, ensuring more individuals can experience the transformative power of live performances, both in-person and digitally.
Arcare Chief Executive Officer Colin Singh said there were countless benefits from the partnership with QPAC.
“Arcare decided to support QPAC's Digital Stage because it presents an exciting opportunity to bring world-class performances directly to our residents,” he said.
“Many residents are unable to attend live performances due to mobility or health issues, so this partnership ensures they can still enjoy high-quality cultural experiences from the comfort of home.
“Digital Stage will allow our residents to experience performances they might otherwise miss, broadening their access to the arts and providing a meaningful avenue for engagement with cultural events."
Singh also said that he was pleased that the organisation was working with QPAC on initiatives that continued to promote connection and togetherness.
“The arts and culture play a critical role in fostering a sense of belonging and wellbeing, especially for elderly people,” he said.
“Cultural experiences offer opportunities for emotional expression, cognitive stimulation, nostalgia, and social connection, which are vital for maintaining mental and emotional health.
“These partnerships also offer opportunities for Arcare to engage with the broader community, fostering connections between our residents and the cultural landscape around them.”
