QPAC is more than a venue. It’s a place for communities to celebrate, interrogate, and participate. A place to make art, experience ideas and new people.
The role of art and creative practice is well documented as a strong contributor to social inclusion and community wellbeing. We have relationships with many organisations built specifically to foster connectedness that include community service organisations as well as arts and cultural organisations. Our projects vary from regionally created performances and activities to hosting newly arrived community members.
The intention is to build authentic, respectful relationships, to connect with members of our community beyond our database. Programs and projects are co-created, ensuring communities and organisations are equal partners and that audiences have opportunities that enhance their engagement with our activity. Projects emphasise the intersections of inquiry, creativity and citizenship.
