An informal outdoor setting with full catering and bar facilities, protected by large floodlit sails.
This open air courtyard, situated on the Melbourne Street side of QPAC, has seating for approximately 270 diners and features catering by QPAC's fully licensed Bistro.
The courtyard takes its name from the horseshoe shaped cascading fountain that originally enclosed the space. Although it is no longer in use as a fountain, the horseshoe shape remains as a feature separating the lower Cascade Court seating from the Upper Cascade Court and often forms the backdrop for live performances, particularly during festivals.
The Cascade Court is easily reached by public transport. The closest parking is at the Performing Arts Car Park.
We pay our respects to the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander ancestors of this land, their spirits and their legacy. The foundations laid by these ancestors - our First Nations Peoples - gives strength, inspiration and courage to current and future generations, both Indigenous and non-Indigenous, towards creating a better Queensland.
