Cascade Court

Information on Cascade Court, QPAC

An informal outdoor setting with full catering and bar facilities, protected by large floodlit sails.

  • Connecting safely at QPAC

As we deal with the impacts of Coronavirus (COVID-19), QPAC is following the requirements of current health advice from the Queensland and Australian Government. Please see our safety measures and things you must do.

This open air courtyard, situated on the Melbourne Street side of QPAC, has seating for approximately 270 diners and features catering by QPAC's fully licensed Bistro.

The courtyard takes its name from the horseshoe shaped cascading fountain that originally enclosed the space. Although it is no longer in use as a fountain, the horseshoe shape remains as a feature separating the lower Cascade Court seating from the Upper Cascade Court and often forms the backdrop for live performances, particularly during festivals.

The Cascade Court is easily reached by public transport. The closest parking is at the Performing Arts Car Park.

Eat & Drink

The Bistro, located at the Cascade Court, is ideal for drinks, light meals and dinner prior to shows in the Lyric Theatre and Concert Hall and during free events in the Cascade Court.

There are toilets in the foyer, inside the main entrance doors to QPAC on the ground floor.
