Information on cycling to and cycle parking at QPAC

QPAC can be accessed by bicycle from every side of the building including the Riverside Bikeway. For details on bikeways and shared pathways in the precinct please visit Brisbane City Council: Cycling in Brisbane. Bicycles can also be taken on CityCats, ferries and Brisbane trains.

QPAC is a part of the CityCycle network and features a CityCycle Station on the riverside of the building outside the Playhouse entrance. Patrons can also access CityCycles at South Brisbane Railway Station and on the river end of Queen Street Mall.

If travelling on your own bicycle, there are a range of storage options around QPAC:

  • Uncovered bike racks on the Grey Street side of the Melbourne Street Green
  • Uncovered bike racks on the Grey Street end of Russell Street outside the Playhouse
  • A limited number of covered bike racks inside the Performing Arts Car Park (free parking but please note opening and closing times)
  • Additional bike racks at South Brisbane Railway Station and in front of the ABC Brisbane building.

Please note that QPAC can take no responsibility for possessions or bikes stored at any of these facilities. Stowing your bike outside of designated areas could result in a fine or your bike being impounded, so please take care to store your bike thoughtfully.
