Disney’s acclaimed new hit musical Frozen has finally arrived at QPAC for its highly anticipated Queensland premiere season in our Lyric Theatre from 10 February 2022.
The 38 strong cast includes our very own Queenslander, Gold Coast born Courtney Monsma, who plays the leading role of Anna alongside renowned musical theatre star Jemma Rix (The Wizard of Oz, Wicked) who plays Elsa.
There’s a lot more than what you see on stage for stars of blockbuster musicals with many hours of photo shoots and interviews happening behind the scenes.
We tagged along with the hard-working and effortlessly glamorous Courtney during a recent Courier Mail QWeekend photo shoot.
The first photo shoot was at Brisbane’s iconic Kangaroo Point Cliffs where Courtney was snapped in a stunning pink gown.

The photo was so spectacular it was voted Courier Mail’s Picture of the Week.
Then it was back to QPAC for costume changes and more photos on our Lyric Theatre stage and at QPAC’s stage door.

The photos and interview with Courtney, who is a Queensland Conservatorium Griffith University (QCGU) Musical Theatre degree graduate, ran in a three-page feature entitled Back Stage Pass in QWeekend.
