After an intense week of masterclasses and workshops, the graduating 3rd Year Bachelor of Musical Theatre students from Queensland Conservatorium Griffith University will present a special performance of cabaret and musical theatre – The Sky’s the Limit.
As part of this QPAC initiative, the students will work with leading musical theatre and cabaret professionals including Tony Award winning Broadway star Faith Prince (Guys & Dolls, The King and I, Annie, The Little Mermaid), New York based composer and musical director Alex Rybeck (Merrily We Roll Along, Grand Hotel) and Australian director Dean Bryant (The Lady in the Van, Anything Goes, Assassins).
The week will focus on how to create your own one-person cabaret show, and will also include classes on audition techniques, creating a basic premise for a cabaret show, choosing the right repertoire, writing linking patter and much more.
You’re invited to come along and take a sneak peek at the next generation of Australia’s musical theatre stars where The Sky’s the Limit.
