Overview

Young emerging jazz saxophone quartet Belephwants is breaking the boundaries of the traditional saxophone quartet. With a focus on composing and performing original compositions and arrangements, many of their arrangements are written for two tenor saxophones, an alto and baritone saxophone. The group brings together a blend of sounds similar to a jazz big band. The quartet is passionate about making original Australian works. Belephwants draws influences from classical, jazz, third stream, contemporary, world music, funk and blues.
