Things are changing so quickly. Exponentially, in fact. At the time of writing the USA has passed 300,000 COVID-19 deaths. Europe is locking down in the face of one coronavirus-related death every 17 seconds. And, in good news, vaccines are rolling out offering hope for the not-too-distant future. Meanwhile in Australia, we’re managing hot spots, celebrating double doughnuts, and grateful for the end of the border wars.

On the first anniversary of social distancing and large-scale lock downs in Australia, we review a devastating year, assess the state of play in 2021, and draw out the lessons of the past in order to pandemic-proof our future.

Hear from those who lived through one of the worst outbreaks in the world and Australian scientists who have taken on the responsibility to ensure we can live freely and safely in a post-pandemic environment. Can we be better prepared, or can we avoid these kinds of viral outbreaks altogether?

    Suitable for all ages.
