Overview

Singer-songwriter Jackson Browne returns to Australia in 2018 for a headline national tour.

Jackson Browne has written some of the most literate and moving songs in popular music including “Running on Empty”, “Take It Easy”, “Somebody’s Baby”, “These Days”, “Lawyers in Love”, “For a Rocker”, “Doctor My Eyes” and “The Pretender” and was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2004 and the Songwriter’s Hall of Fame in 2007.

Browne defines a genre of songwriting charged with honesty, emotion and personal politics and is known for his advocacy on behalf of the environment, human rights and arts education.

Accompanying Jackson on the road in Australia are long time band mates Bob Glaub (bass), Mauricio Lewak (Drums), Val McCallum (guitar), Alethea Mills (Vocals), Chavonne Stewart (vocals), Jeff Young (keyboards), and the acclaimed multi-instrumentalist Greg Leisz (guitar, lap steel, pedal steel).

Testament to Browne’s enduring popularity in, and affection for Australia, where he first toured in 1977, this is his seventh tour in here since 2001.

Jackson Browne’s debut album was released in 1972 on David Geffen’s Asylum Records and since then Browne has released fourteen studio albums and four live albums.

Don’t miss Jackson Browne at QPAC in April, 2018.

GUACAMOLE FUND

The Guacamole Fund is a non-profit organisation. It assists environmental, social change, cultural and service organisations by facilitating, organising and producing benefit concerts, rallies, special ticket sales, receptions and media campaigns. These activities serve to publicise and raise consciousness about issues that are important and timely to the social change and environmental process, as well as raise funds. We research organisations that are actively involved in these issues and bring this information to the attention of members of the entertainment community. The Guacamole Fund also serves as a sounding board for ideas and acts as an organisational and information service for members of the celebrity community and commercial production entities. We network with a wide variety of individuals and organisations from both the activists and entertainment communities and consult with them on media and fundraising strategies. Guacamole Fund members have played significant roles in over 1,200 cultural, educational, environmental, social change and service events since 1974.
