Connecting safely at QPAC

The wellbeing of all QPAC visitors, artists and staff is our priority and with this in mind we encourage you to read through the following information about our health and safety measures prior to your visit.

Under the Queensland Government’s Public Health and Social Measures linked to vaccination status Direction, anyone entering QPAC aged 16 years and over must be fully vaccinated or medically exempt. All patrons over the age of 16 years will be required to register through the Check In Qld app and to provide proof of vaccination (or medical exemption) at time of entry.

Masks are mandatory at QPAC, and we ask that you bring your own mask to the theatre with you. As QPAC is operating at 100% capacity under Queensland Government health directives, please be aware there may be patrons occupying the seats directly beside, behind or in front of you during a performance.

  • You will be required to provide proof of your vaccination status to be able to enter QPAC. The easiest way to do so is to link your vaccination certificate to the Check in Qld app. Please do this prior to your visit to save time, instructions are available in the app
  • If you do not have a smart phone, please print out a hard copy of your vaccination status to bring with you
  • If you have an official medical exemption, you can also link this via the Check in Qld app or bring a print-out with you to show our staff. Your exemption must be signed by a registered medical practitioner with an officially recognised reason
  • It is a condition of entry to QPAC that all patrons provide contact tracing details. To save time, download the Check In Qld app prior to your next visit and add your details as well as those of your guests. If you do not have a smart phone, one of our friendly staff will be able to help you check in manually
  • Observe physical distancing where possible when moving about in the foyers and public areas of the venue
  • Masks are mandatory at all times in our foyers and theatres, please bring your own mask with you
  • If you are unwell, please stay home and contact our QTIX team 136 246 prior to the day of your performance where possible to arrange an exchange to later in the season or if an exchange is not possible, a refund will be processed.

If you or any of your booking party are diagnosed with COVID-19, are required to self-isolate due to COVID-19 or exposure as a close contact, or have COVID symptoms you should not attend QPAC. If this is the case for you or any member of your booking party, please contact QTIX prior to the date of your performance to arrange an exchange to later in the season or if an exchange is not possible, a refund will be processed. You can contact QTIX on 136 246 during opening hours. Refunds will not apply if the ticket holder attends the venue, displays COVID symptoms and is asked to leave. For contact tracing purposes we are using the Check In Qld app and encourage you to download the app prior to attending performances at QPAC if you haven’t done so already.

We recommend adding your details and those of your guests before arriving at QPAC. You can add extra guest details through the ‘Frequent Guests’ section accessed by the menu at the top left corner of the app. When you arrive at QPAC, all you’ll be required to do is scan the unique QR Code for your theatre and show our staff you’ve checked in.

Whilst QPAC has implemented all legally required and recommended control measures in relation to the COVID-19 pandemic, by entering QPAC all visitors acknowledge and accept that there currently remains an unquantifiable risk of transmission of COVID-19. All visitors are assumed to have assessed this risk of transmission, including through consideration of their own health condition, in making the decision to attend the centre.
